Moga (Loft)

This class is taught by:

Jenna Birch

Jenna Birch is a performance coach and communications and logistics leader at The Power House. Jenna discovered her passion for health and fitness while training with Power House owner and head coach, Max Lipset. Through coaching, Jenna found her purpose, which is bringing people together and building self-confidence through strength and conditioning. Jenna goes above and beyond for her clients, and builds long-lasting relationships with each person she coaches. To Jenna, winning your life means being in the "arena", despite the odds, and kicking butt. When Jenna isn’t working or crushing intense WODs, she is singing in her family band, hitting concerts, volunteering in her community and making new friends.

Logan U'u

Logan U’u is a performance coach at The Power House. Logan got into coaching through owner and head coach, Max Lipset. In his words, he helped Max with a small group training session one day, and hasn’t turned back since. Logan is without a doubt the gym’s humble warrior, and he finds fulfillment in helping others. His creativity and mindfulness allows him to craft spot-on programs that best fit his clients, and his genuine character keeps them coming back. To Logan, winning your life means confronting fears and insecurities, and learning to rise above them. When Logan isn’t breathing or in savasana, he enjoys spending time in silence, going for walks around his neighborhood and observing plant life -- he just loves how the seasons change.
WHAT IS MOGA!?? It is a Power House original, combining Mobility work and Yoga to create a new hybrid of flexibility, soft tissue, and range of motion practices that connects the mind, body, and spirit. Moga deepens your understanding of your own body's soft tissue health, and how to provide self-maintenance on a daily and weekly basis. Classes are held in a peaceful space with chill music and good vibes, helping students to relax into their practice and release the tensions of the week.

Moga class takes the structure of a gentle yoga flow, and sprinkles in specific mobility exercises with tools like foam rollers, mobility balls, and dynamic band stretches to provide deeper healing to your soft tissue and the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. All Moga classes contain a strong breathing practice, helping to bring the body into a more alkaline state, boost immunity, and positively balance hormones.

Moga is appropriate for everyone, and is most effective if done at least 1-2 times per week. It is a wonderful compliment to an active person's routine, providing the necessary recovery to stay injury-free throughout life. Mo' Moga, please!
