Chuck became a personal trainer to help people believe in and achieve their goals. His expertise lies in core strength and stability, body weight exercises, endurance training and manipulation of body composition. Mobility, stability and strength: these are the key ingredients for sustainable fitness.

Tim Brown

Tim began practicing yoga in 2004 as a balance to his interests as a competitive cyclist and avid outdoor athlete. He loves the active stretching and the feeling of a workout without “working out” that yoga provides and the calm, quiet mind that results. Balancing poses and inversions are his favorite postures. Tim also completed his CrossFit Level 1 training in 2015 and brings a unique perspective to his coaching, blending the best of yoga and strength into a cohesive functional movement framework.

Gunnar Regan

Gunnar has always thrived in the environment of competitive sports. He was a four sport high school athlete at St. Thomas Academy, a three-time consecutive Minnesota State High School Hockey Champion, and was awarded the 2013 Hobey Baker Character Award for the State of Minnesota.
Gunnar has played three semesters of Division Three hockey for MSOE and Augsburg College. He made the decision to leave hockey to pursue CrossFit full time with intention of competing at an elite level. He is currently studying Physics at Augsburg College. Attained CrossFit Level 1 in February 2015 and has been assisting and coaching classes at The Power House ever since. He aspires to become a full time coach and help clients optimize their athletic potential. 

Logan U'u

Logan U'u began coaching shortly after his football career ended in 2010. A former scholarship athlete at the University of Minnesota, Logan transitioned into coaching in 2011 as the defensive coordinator for Saint Paul Academy's middle school football program. After two seasons his team was crowned the 2013 Class A conference champions. He received his Level 1 Crossfit training certification in early 2013 and continues to work closely with division one athletes.

Jenna Birch

Jenna Birch is a Performance Coach and Communications & Logistics Leader at The Power House at Highland. Jenna returned to The Power House after working in event planning and social media at a marketing agency in Minneapolis. At the Power House she combines her love for fitness and bringing people together. Jenna holds her B.A. in Communications and Journalism and Spanish from the University of St. Thomas. Jenna enjoys singing in her band, playing and coaching soccer, volunteering in her community and making new friends.

CrossFit Level 1 CrossFit Movement & Mobility Seminar 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training FMS I  
Our Power House CrossFit- ALL LEVELS classes are customized to serve both our Level 1 (P1) and our Level 2 (P2) athletes simultaneously. This 60 minute class will include all the elements of both classes- warmup, skill, strength, WOD, cool down. Workouts will be adjusted to accommodate the level of fitness for each person. We expect all athletes in our All Levels classes to come motivated and open to new skill development.
More about the Level 1 & Level 2 CrossFit Classes:
All Level 1 classes will include a comprehensive warmup and movement prep followed by a skill, then strength and power development, metabolic conditioning, ending with yoga or localized core work. The focus of these classes is quality of movement especially with regard to body weight movements, establishing a high level of cardio-respiratory fitness and a base level of strength. Equipment at the P1 level is primarily in the form of medicine balls, dumbbells, kettlebells, and bands. Trainer barbells and barbells will be introduced when appropriate.
Level 2 (P2) classes are open to athletes who meet our Level 2 standards and move at a faster pace than a Level 1 class while incorporating more emphasis on barbell training and upper level “gymnastics” movements. P2 athletes will have the opportunity to test themselves in high intensity metabolic conditioning formats. P2 instructors are experts in scaling workouts up and down to challenge the athlete at the appropriate level. Please contact us anytime with further questions. The P2 format is similar to that of a P1: warmup, movement prep, skill, strength and power, conditioning, accessory.
