This class is taught by:

Jenna Birch

Jenna Birch is a performance coach and communications and logistics leader at The Power House. Jenna discovered her passion for health and fitness while training with Power House owner and head coach, Max Lipset. Through coaching, Jenna found her purpose, which is bringing people together and building self-confidence through strength and conditioning. Jenna goes above and beyond for her clients, and builds long-lasting relationships with each person she coaches. To Jenna, winning your life means being in the "arena", despite the odds, and kicking butt. When Jenna isn’t working or crushing intense WODs, she is singing in her family band, hitting concerts, volunteering in her community and making new friends.

Logan U'u

Logan U’u is a performance coach at The Power House. Logan got into coaching through owner and head coach, Max Lipset. In his words, he helped Max with a small group training session one day, and hasn’t turned back since. Logan is without a doubt the gym’s humble warrior, and he finds fulfillment in helping others. His creativity and mindfulness allows him to craft spot-on programs that best fit his clients, and his genuine character keeps them coming back. To Logan, winning your life means confronting fears and insecurities, and learning to rise above them. When Logan isn’t breathing or in savasana, he enjoys spending time in silence, going for walks around his neighborhood and observing plant life -- he just loves how the seasons change.

Tim Brown

Tim began practicing yoga in 2004 as a balance to his interests as a competitive cyclist and avid outdoor athlete. He loves the active stretching and the feeling of a workout without “working out” that yoga provides and the calm, quiet mind that results. Balancing poses and inversions are his favorite postures. Tim also completed his CrossFit Level 1 training in 2015 and brings a unique perspective to his coaching, blending the best of yoga and strength into a cohesive functional movement framework.

Chuck Turner

Philosophy:
Chuck became a personal trainer to help people believe in and achieve their goals. His expertise lies in core strength and stability, body weight exercises, endurance training and manipulation of body composition. Mobility, stability and strength: these are the key ingredients for sustainable fitness.

Josh Gray

Josh Gray is a performance coach at The Power House. Josh has been an athlete his entire life and got into coaching while training with owner and head coach, Max Lipset. Josh is a firm believer in “Kaizen”, or constant improvement, and seeks to help people become the best version of themselves. Josh also developed a passion for coaching through injury, and because of this, Josh specializes in working with injured athletes. To Josh, winning your life means always improving even if life doesn’t go as planned. He believes everything happens for a reason and that he can always learn from his experiences. When Josh isn’t at work or working on his Olympic lifts, he is playing basketball and golf … if the weather cooperates, that is.

Meredith Forbes

Meredith Forbes is a performance coach and operations manager at The Power House. Meredith found her love for fitness through injury, and has since studied the body to understand its full capacity. Her passion to learn more led her to get certifications in both CrossFit and Pilates, and has allowed her to create specialized recovery classes at The Power House. Meredith brings a fun energy to classes, and can help any person pick out their favorite wall ball or piece of mobility. To Meredith, winning your life means spending time with family and lifting more. When she isn’t at work, deadlifting or squatting, she is running trails and adventuring with her kids.
Our Power House CrossFit classes are focused on movement quality, skill progressions, and FUN! CrossFit classes include a skill-based warm-up, skill or strength training, the Workout of the Day (or “WOD”), and mobility work. The workouts can always be scaled so that new athletes can workout alongside veteran athletes. On some days, the WOD will be a 10-20 minute metabolic conditioning workout that combines several movements or exercises that are grouped into sets and either completed for time or in as many rounds a possible (“AMRAP”). On other days, the class will focus on a strength piece (like a 1 rep max deadlift) followed by a shorter metabolic conditioning “finisher” workout.
